Korin Thomas-Smith

Baritone

Named one of CBC Music’s 30 hot classical musicians under 30 in 2021, Canadian baritone Korin Thomas-Smith has performed across North America.

In 2025, Korin joined The Santa Fe Opera as an Apprentice Artist, covering Conte Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro and performing as Count Ceprano in Rigoletto, and Schaunard in La bohème. An alumni of the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble Studio, Korin returns to the stage as Mercutio in Roméo et Juliette.

2026 sees Korin making his house debut at The Dallas Opera in their production of The Little Prince. Korin has been a Young Artist and Apprentice Artist at esteemed programs such as the Glimmerglass Festival, performing Argante in Rinaldo, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Ravinia Steans Music Institute among others. Other highlights include performances of Wagner in Faust, and Malatesta in Don Pasquale at the Canadian Opera Company. Korin holds degrees from the University of Toronto Opera and Yale University.
