EDMONTON OPERA – GENERAL AUDITIONS FOR THE 2026/2027 MAINSTAGE SEASON

Edmonton Opera will be holding General Auditions for our upcoming 2026/2027 Mainstage Season on Saturday, January 10 and Sunday, January 11, 2026 in Edmonton, Alberta. Members of the artistic team will be in attendance. 

WHO SHOULD SUBMIT
We invite submissions from professional opera singers and emerging artists interested in being considered for casting in the 2026/2027 season. 

While priority will be given to Canadian Actors’ Equity Association members, non-Equity artists are also welcome to submit.

Artists who have auditioned for Edmonton Opera within the past two years do not need to re-audition unless their repertoire or vocal category has significantly changed.

HOW TO SUBMIT

Please complete the Edmonton Opera General Audition Google Form and provide all required materials directly through the form.

Submission deadline: Saturday, December 13, 2025

Selected artists will receive an official audition time by Friday, December 19, 2025.

Only successful applicants will be contacted.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Please prepare 2–5 operatic arias that best represent your voice, technique, and artistic range.

• A pianist will be provided, but artists may bring their own pianist if preferred.

• Scores should be clearly marked, with cuts and tempi indicated.

If you have limited availability on January 10 or 11, please indicate this on the form. EO will accommodate where possible, though specific time requests cannot be guaranteed.
