Box Office Associate & Board Administrator 

Full-Time | Hybrid | Competitive Salary and Benefits 

Are you passionate about the arts and offering exceptional customer service? Edmonton Opera is hiring a detail-oriented and dynamic Box Office Associate & Board Administrator to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment while also supporting the administrative duties of a vibrant arts organization. 

Key Responsibilities 

Box Office  

  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service to patrons in-person, by phone, and via email 

  • Process ticket sales, exchanges, and subscriptions using Tessitura  

  • Assist with will-call and day-of-show box office operations at performances 

  • Maintain accurate patron records and support reporting needs for marketing and development teams 

  • Ensure smooth front-of-house experiences in collaboration with ushers, volunteers, and FOH staff 

  • Create and distribute weekly and monthly sales reports to keep the team informed 

  • Contribute to weekly marketing meetings by sharing ideas and collaborating on strategies to drive ticket sales  

  • Coordinate ticket related communications to patrons, including mailouts, and patron notifications  

Board Administration 

  • Coordinate Board and committee meetings, including scheduling, minute-taking, and preparing meeting materials 

  • Maintain up-to-date Board records and ensure compliance with governance requirements 

  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director for Board-related tasks 

  • Liaise with Board members to support engagement and timely communications 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service or administrative experience, preferably in the arts or non-profit sector 

  • Proficiency in Tessitura or a similar CRM/ticketing system is required 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail 

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion 

  • Passion for the arts and commitment to supporting an inclusive and welcoming patron experience
