Siegfried
May 25, 27, 29 & 31, 2026
Venue: Maclab Theatre (9828 101A Avenue, Edmonton)
Advisories: Strobe lighting, stage fog/haze
In a fractured world shaped by greed, power, and the collapse of the old order, the young hero Siegfried sets out in search of freedom and the truth about who he is. Raised in isolation and untouched by fear, he reforges his father’s broken sword and ventures into the forest, where dragons, gods, and the consequences of old ambitions still remain.
As Siegfried moves forward, the world around him begins to change. Wotan’s power fades, old systems break apart, and Brünnhilde awakens from her enchanted sleep. Their meeting marks the beginning of something unfamiliar in Wagner’s world: tenderness, vulnerability, and the possibility of a future no longer ruled by fear and control.
