Audiences embarked on the next chapter of Wagner’s monumental Ring Cycle as Die Walküre continued the saga introduced in Das Rheingold. This new production, arranged by Jonathan Dove, pushed the boundaries of opera and reached new heights of operatic innovation in Edmonton.

Presented in partnership with the Citadel, this production strengthened collaboration within the city, with performances held at the Maclab Theatre. Whether longtime Wagner enthusiasts or newcomers to the world of the Ring Cycle, audiences were captivated and left eagerly anticipating the next chapter of this iconic tale.

Featuring the Edmonton Opera conducting debut of Russell Braun, this production stood as a testament to the enduring power of Wagner’s work.
