Symphony in the City performances

Before the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra take to the stage for Symphony in the City, come down to Churchill Square and enjoy short performances from tenor Andrea Pinna, accompanied by pianist Leanne Regehr. Performances are at 5 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.; the ESO performance of Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 begins at 7 p.m. There is free admission to the entire event.

Battle for the Limelight

Edmonton Opera's scavenger hunt team has a #licensetotrill — two EO chorus sopranos, a mezzo-soprano and a photographer are competing in Northern Light Theatre's Battle for the Limelight on Aug. 29. Each Edmonton theatre team is raising funds for their own company, and in the case of #licensetotrill, monies raised will support chorus outreach initiatives.

Alberta Culture Days at Kingsway Mall

Join Edmonton Opera for a day of performances and workshops at Kingsway Mall, celebrating Alberta Culture Days. Beginning at noon, there will be a performance by tenor Andrea Pinna, followed by a dance workshop led by Merry Widow choreographer Dave Ganert at 1 p.m. Another performance, this time by the Edmonton Opera Chorus and led by Merry Widow conductor and chorusmaster Peter Dala, will be at 2 p.m., followed by a second dance workshop at 3 p.m.

Parisian Friday at Southgate Mall

As part of Southgate Mall's Vive la France event, a live vocal performance by Edmonton Opera Chorus members will be performed at Centre Court in Southgate Mall at noon on Sept. 4. There will also be models of Parisian landmarks built. It's also a perfect way to get excited about our upcoming production of The Merry Widow, which takes place during the Belle Époque in Paris!

Opera al Fresco

Join us for an elegant garden party with wine and hors d'oeuvres, where operatic voices perform amid the greenery of the Devonian Botanic Garden. One of the best ways to celebrate the summer solstice! Tickets are now sold out for this year's event.
