An Evening with Kevin March (free event)

Curious about the process of putting together a full-length opera? In this special edition of Opera 101 we bring you composer of our upcoming opera Lilies (Les Feluettes), Kevin March, to explain first-hand his inspirations and process of creating the score!

There will also be an informal meet and greet with Kevin March from 6 pm to 6:45 pm, with the talk beginning at 7 pm. You don't want to miss this rare opportunity!

Brokeback Mountain (Free film screening)

To celebrate the Alberta premiere of Lilies (Les Feluettes), Canada's first gay opera, Edmonton Opera presents a free Gay Film Series at Metro Cinema Garneau. This film series celebrates the best of gay cinema from both Hollywood and Canada in the last 20 years. From intensely romantic to psychologically charged, each film explores themes of forbidden love, societal norms, and the power of passion.

Around the World with Opera (Free event)

Get ready to travel Around the World with Edmonton Opera as we present a day of multi-cultural performances including opera singing, Francophone music, South Asian dance, and more! Join us at Southgate Centre starting from 11:30 am for a day of free, family-friendly fun that gives you a glimpse into Alberta's diverse heritage. We will also have a complimentary photo booth, crafts table, face painting, and prize draws to win tickets to the opera!

CLC Brown Bag Lunch with Michel Marc Bouchard

Join us at the University of Alberta campus (Rutherford Library South 2-09) for the Canadian Literature Centre's Brown Bag Lunch series featuring Les Feluettes (Lilies) librettist Michel Marc Bouchard. This event is free to attend and will be a chance to hear Bouchard, one of Canada's foremost playwrights, do a reading of his famous works.
