Opera Art Project

The Edmonton Opera and the Alberta Craft Council revealed the first edition of the Opera Art Project on Sept. 28, 2012, during a Director’s Circle-exclusive event. The project features opera-inspired fine craft, particular to each production.

With the conclusion of the 2012/13 season, the fine craft pieces from each production will be on sale at the Alberta Craft Council. The pieces draw inspiration from the overall art form, as well as specific aspects of the Edmonton Opera’s productions this season.

The Opera Art Project is the result of the partnership between the Edmonton Opera and the Alberta Craft Council, and was launched during the Alberta Culture Days weekend in September 2012. Featuring mainly artists from Edmonton and area, but also across the province, this project offers opera patrons the chance to take home memories of the 2012/13 mainstage season performances.
