Edmonton Opera CEO Sandra Gajic

Sandra Gajic recently assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, Edmonton Opera. She is responsible for leading Edmonton Opera to sustainable artistic growth while also increasing the company’s significance and stature -- regionally, nationally and internationally.

Sandra’s vision will help drive Edmonton Opera to deliver a world-class Opera experience and inspire Edmonton audiences to become an integral part of that journey.

Ms. Gajic most recently held senior leadership positions at the EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts in Calgary and the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto. She arrives with a wide range of experience and a strong track record in fiscally responsible management; innovative strategic planning; resource development; governance, as well as expertise in delivering capital projects in the cultural sector. She is known for building strong partnerships with all three levels of government, the corporate sector and the community at large including other arts organizations.

Sandra has degrees in Economics (including a MBA) and Music. Sandra is a piano player, poet, and painter and she loves to travel. She lives in Edmonton.
